So I have been busy with getting ready for the new grandbaby, working on 2 different gowns, balancing deadlines.
Grandbaby will be here tomorrow morning, via c section, will be a couple of busy weeks helping out the new mom.
Blue gown deadline for completion is August 2nd. Red gown completion date August 15th.

I have been making progress on the red gown, bodice is now completed, trim sewn on by hand, side lacing:

I made a camica

underskirt

a zimballino, still working on the details

been working on a feather fan
made a beaded girdle

and sleeves

only thing missing is a hat, maybe I can get started on that soon.

Here is an update of what I have been working on. I completed my camicia this weekend.

 

I have also been working on the sleeves, still need to finish them and attach to the bodice. I plan to finish adding trim the bodice while sitting in the hospital with my daughter, she is expecting a baby any day now. I also starting working on my accessory piece, waiting on the glue to dry.
